EA Setup Guide
Detailed instructions for installing the ATLAS FX Expert Advisor on both MetaTrader 5 and MetaTrader 4.
MetaTrader 5 Installation
Download the EA File
Log in to your ATLAS FX Dashboard and download the AtlasFX.ex5 file from the Downloads section.
Open MetaTrader 5 Data Folder
In MetaTrader 5, go to File > Open Data Folder. Navigate to MQL5/Experts/ and copy the AtlasFX.ex5 file into this folder.
Restart MetaTrader 5
Close and reopen MetaTrader 5, or right-click in the Navigator panel and select Refresh. The ATLAS FX EA should appear under Expert Advisors.
Attach EA to Chart
Open an XAUUSD chart (H4 timeframe recommended). Drag the ATLAS FX EA from the Navigator panel onto the chart. In the settings dialog, enter your API key in the designated field.
Enable Automated Trading
Click the "AutoTrading" button in the toolbar to enable automated trading. Ensure the EA shows a smiley face icon in the chart corner, indicating it is active and connected.
MetaTrader 4 Installation
Download the EA File
Log in to your ATLAS FX Dashboard and download the AtlasFX.ex4 file from the Downloads section.
Open MetaTrader 4 Data Folder
In MetaTrader 4, go to File > Open Data Folder. Navigate to MQL4/Experts/ and copy the AtlasFX.ex4 file into this folder.
Restart MetaTrader 4
Close and reopen MetaTrader 4, or right-click in the Navigator panel and select Refresh. The ATLAS FX EA should appear under Expert Advisors.
Attach EA to Chart
Open an XAUUSD chart (H4 timeframe recommended). Drag the ATLAS FX EA from the Navigator panel onto the chart. Go to the Inputs tab and enter your API key.
Enable Automated Trading
Click the "AutoTrading" button in the toolbar. Ensure the EA shows a smiley face icon in the chart corner. Also ensure "Allow DLL imports" and "Allow WebRequest" are enabled in the EA settings.
Troubleshooting
If the EA does not connect, check that your API key is correctly entered, your internet connection is stable, and WebRequest is allowed for the ATLAS FX API domain in MetaTrader settings (Tools > Options > Expert Advisors). If problems persist, contact [email protected].
